The maintenance plan is what we consider essential to running a WordPress website. In addition to the above-listed features, the maintenance plan provides you with a trusted provider who is on hand to inspect and deal with the random quirks and issues that inevitably occur, as well as handle the day-to-day maintenance and security.

That is our goal! We don't want our clients to have to worry about the day-to-day issues with their sites. If your contact form isn't sending emails properly, or your SSL certificate isn't loading properly suddenly, we want to help. While we can't guarantee unlimited support for every theme or plugin made by all the different authors out there, we will always do our best to ensure our client sites are functioning to the best of their ability.

Given that, in most cases, we are not the original developers of your site, there may be times where extensive development work may be required on custom or high-level functionality. When this occurs, we'll make our best possible recommendations to you in order to give you the information needed to make a clear decision of how you would like to proceed.

Yes - assuming they are licensed. We always suggest keeping premium themes and plugins licensed, current and up-to-date.

Unlimited content update requests allow you to send requests directly into our support inbox for a quick turnaround of under 24 hours (on average).

These updates are intended to allow you to request changes to the content, images, and essential information on your website, without wondering if you have enough time in the budget this month. Update requests cover most tasks that can be performed in under 30 minutes that are clear, have a measurable outcome, and can be performed with the existing functionality of the website.

Here's an example of a bad update request:

Attached are several photos. Please add these to the site.

Since there was no location or even a page listed indicating where the photos should be placed, it leaves the possibility open for us to make incorrect assumptions. Your client won't be happy if the images end up in the wrong place, and we'll be super sad if we have to go and redo the entire thing over again.

Here's an example of a good update request:

We have updated our logo. Can you please replace it on the site? It is located in the header as well as the footer.

In addition, we're updating our business hours. We will now close at 5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Can you please update the contact page with this information?

Here's another example of a good, but a slightly more involved request:

We have updated our logo. Can you please replace it on the site? It is located in the header as well as the footer. The blue used in the logo has changed. We don't have the specific code available, but could you match the buttons througought the site to this new shade of blue?

Obviously, updating the CSS used for buttons on the site is more involved, but the client did a great job explaining what they needed, and we are capable of finding the color from the logo.

When the site is on-boarded, we can inspect the various issues and make our recommendations. In most cases, we will be happy to take care of the issues. In some cases, extensive development or license renewals may be required in order to complete the work. We will make our recommendations and work with you to determine the best course of action in these cases.

Reluctantly. Themeforest themes have earned a bad reputation over the years. Some of it is warranted, some of it isn't. And much of it is unfair as there are thousands of themes, built by various authors.

Working with Themeforest themes, in theory, should not be an issue. We would never want to place restrictions on something like a theme, but our experience has shown that many DIY'ers use Themeforest themes and make improper modifications, don't keep them licensed and up-to-date, or they suffer from major speed performance issues.

So while, yes, we will maintain a site using a Themeforest theme, there are some caveats:

• If the theme & related plugins are outdated and the site is pre-WordPress 5.0, the license must be current (or renewed), and some time must be allowed to safely bring things up-to-date
• If the theme has not been updated in some time, slight visual or other small changes might occur due to the base theme's CSS updates.
• Licensing is the responsibility of the site owner
